Instagram says goodbye to IGTV
IGTV will not disappear but it will change its name to Instagram TV.
The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, some time ago announced through Twitter that Instagram is no longer for sharing photos. Rather, its approach is based on entertainment, directed at the four areas that are currently used: creators, shopping, messaging and video.
While the IGTV app will not disappear , changes will be made to the name and video length options. The sectioning of videos of the application, will be called Instagram TV , it also plans to grant the option of video editing more easily, as well as new options for filters, cuts, labels and locations for users .
“Starting today, we combine IGTV and feed videos in one format: Instagram video. We are also introducing a new Video tab on your profile, where this combined video format will be present, to make it easier for people to discover new video content ”explains Alexandru Voica from Facebook.
Users will also be able to find all the videos and live broadcasts , in the new and improved application: Instagram TV. The app promises to make it easy to find the best videos from Instagram creators.
The videos on the Instagram feed will still change, this in order to make it easier for people to discover new content. They will be available in a tab in the profile that will be located next to the photos, Reels, tagging and others. As well as the maximum duration of the videos that can be seen in the feed, up to 60 minutes.
