Formats in RRSS: the sizes you should use

Use the right size for your images and show the quality of your company


When creating content on social networks, no less detail is the use of photographs according to the sizes to project a better image and quality of us. That is why we tell you all about the sizes of images of social networks.

Facebook

Profile picture: The profile picture is square. The measurements are 170 × 170 pixels for computer visualizations. Meanwhile, on smartphones it will show it in 128 × 128 px.
Cover photo: The recommended size is 720 x 315 pixels, it will be displayed with measures of 820 x 312 pixels for computers, and 640 x 360 pixels for mobile phones.
Cover video: The size to upload a video to the Facebook cover is 1250 x 312 pixels, with a duration between 20-90 seconds.
Facebook event cover: Measurements are 1000 x 524 pixels.
Post Images: For shared images, this is 1200 x 630 px. In the images that accompany a shared link, the recommended size is 1200 x 630 px.
Video: Measurements for video are 1080 x 1080 px.
Stories: And finally for the 1080 x 1920 px stories.

Instagram

Profile photo: 110 x 110 pixels, minimum. Remember that they are displayed in a circular shape.
Square photo: 1080 × 1080 pixels is recommended, and the maximum size allowed is 2080 x 2080 pixels. Note that the feed shows 510 x 510 px.
Vertical photo: 1080 x 1350 pixels.
Horizontal photo: 1080 × 566 pixels, the latter as the maximum size so that the image is not cut off.
Size for Instagram Stories (photo): 1080 x 1920 pixels, although these images will always depend on the device being viewed.
Video size: Maximum duration 60 seconds and measures 640 x 640 pixels.
IGTV: must have a minimum resolution of 720 px. If it lasts 10 minutes or less, its maximum size should be 650 MB, and those of up to 60 minutes, 3.6 GB. Remember that the file format must be MP4, its cover image 420 x 654 px. Finally, keep in mind that the maximum duration of the video, if you upload it from your mobile, will be only 15 minutes.

LinkedIn

Profile photo: 400 × 400 pixels and a minimum of 130 × 130 pixels.
Header for profiles: 1584 × 396 pixels.
Company logo: 300 × 300 pixels.
Cover photo for company pages: Recommended size is 1536 × 768 pixels.
Image for post: 520 x 320 pixels.
Post with link: In this case the images to be used must be 520 x 272 pixels.
Images for sponsored content: 1200 x 627 px.

Pinterest

Profile image: Preferably 165 x 165 pixels.
Cover image: The social network recommends an image with a 16: 9 aspect ratio and 800 x 450 px.
Pins: The size of the pins should be 600 x 900 px, with an aspect ratio of 2: 3.
Board image: 200 x 200 pixels.

Tiktok

Profile photo: They recommend that its size be no less than 100 x 100 pixels.
Video size: 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Twitter


Profile photo: 400 × 400 pixels or 200 x 200 and a weight limit of 2MB.
Cover photo: 1500 × 500 pixels or 1024 x 280 in width and height respectively, and a maximum size of 5MB.
Tweets with images: 1024 x 512 px maximum weight of 5MB .JPG, .PNG and GIF.
Tweet with image and link: minimum size of 600 × 335 px. Recommended as a minimum width of 600 px.
Tweet Card: 800 x 800 pixels, for square size, and 800 x 418 px, to display horizontal images.

Youtube

Profile photo: 800 x 800 pixels and 4 MB maximum. In JPG, non-animated GIF, BMP or PNG format.
Cover photo: The recommended size is 2560 × 1440 pixels, and a maximum size of 6 MB.
YouTube thumbnail size: 1280 × 720 pixels. The minimum width is 640 px and the weight limit is 2 MB.
Ads: in video format the stipulated size is 1920 x 1080 px; a horizontal ad for the screen would be 300 x 600 px.
Video watermark image: A minimum 150 × 150 px image is recommended, in JPEG, PNG, GIF (non-animated) or BMP and 1 MB maximum.
Videos: YouTube recommends that videos be in the highest resolution possible, that is, 1280 x 720 px minimum.
